At long last, I'm thrilled to announce that my new album, SHOT OF BLUE, is complete!
The first single, "Shot of Blue," sets the tone for the album, working a punchy, soul groove as it follows one man's yearning for a change in his life, even if it is just a momentary flash of sun.

This is one of my favorite images from the video for "Shot of Blue." It accompanies the lyric, "...no more fists of steel, no fits of rage."
I shot it at my dojo, House of Champions - Academy of Martial Arts & Fitness, in Van Nuys. The fist belongs to my trainer, Jio Leroux. Sifu Jesse Miranda is behind the bag, holding it.
I shot it with my iPhone. I poured baby powder on Jio's fist before he punched. This is the moment of impact.
We did two takes in 3 minutes.
It was only as I was leaving that I noticed the imprint Jio's fist left on the bag.
